Invest in a “partnership” with an emerging class of “growth-driven” entrepreneurs
Add value
Value adding to investee companies, including cross border expansions and divestments, introduction of customers and suppliers, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and restructuring, investor relations, and fund raising from capital markets. All guided by our deep industry knowledge and strong network of investors and advisors
Protection
Strong investment downside protection from the business of the investee companies (e.g. stable cashflow, strong branding and distribution, etc.) and active negotiation on structured investment terms (e.g. entry valuation downward adjustments, redemption, and corporate governance, etc.)
Risk management
We decline to invest in businesses when our investment team has a “less- than-comfortable” knowledge of their management teams, or their local support network. We also avoid IPO lock-up and public disclosure.
